Vlog #4: Dr. Jenny Pan D.M.D on Community Based Dentistry and Oral Health

In this vlog, we will hear from Dr. Jenny Pan D.M.D, who is a general dentist focusing in community dentistry. In addition to attending Harvard School of Dental Medicine, she has worked with the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program and currently works as the Chief Dental Officer at UMMA Community Health Center. Dr. Pan discusses her perspective on the dentistry-medicine divide and the importance of integrating oral health with systemic health. She also highlights the ways that the COVID-19 pandemic has furthered these disparities in access to oral health care, particularly for low-income and underserved populations.
