Below are the BCPH Thought Leadership for Public Health Fellows for 2023: 

Sam Mendez is a PhD candidate at the Harvard School of Public Health. Their blog series "Party's Over" rethinks health communication for the pandemic era.

Victor Ekuta is a Penn Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Clark Scholar, Black Men’s Brain Health Scholar, and MD candidate. He holds a B.A. in Biology and Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP) with a minor in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis.

Kate Okorie is a science journalist at Africa InSight Communications, an organisation that promotes Africa-centered storytelling. Her work is at the nexus of the health and environmental sectors, and her reports have a wide readership across Africa.

Devin Hursey is an advocate for people living with HIV and public health, from Kansas City Missouri, currently pursuing dual master’s degrees in Public Health and strategic communications at the University of Missouri Columbia (graduation date 2023).

Dr. Cullen Truett is a board certified psychiatrist and board eligible Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist practicing with CityBlock Health in Washington, DC.

Dr. Yvette Efevbera is a global health, gender equality, and equity leader working to create a world where young people and women are healthy, happy, unafraid, and unapologetic.
