Jackie Leung
Jackie Leung is a PhD student at Oregon State University majoring in Public Health – Global Health. Her research background includes prenatal healthcare access and utilization of healthcare services for Micronesian and Pacific Islanders. She has an educational background in law and community health.
Jackie is the Executive Director and a Public Health Advocate with the Micronesian Islander Community (MIC) organization in Oregon. As a community leader, Jackie is involved with community engagement, outreach, organizing, and is an advocate for Micronesian and Pacific Islanders. Jackie is familiar with policy, policy advocacy, and research. She serves on boards, commissions, and organizations including the Oregon Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs, Oregon’s Hunger Task Force, Oregon’s Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Committee, the Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus for Public Health, and is a Salem City Councilor.
