Dr. Dhairya Shrivastava, MBBS, MBA

Dr. Dhairya Shrivastava, MBBS, MBA (she/her/hers; based in New Delhi, India) is currently working as a Junior Consultant in Bain and Company, India in the healthcare consulting vertical. She has worked with major Indian pharma players and their consumer healthcare divisions to enhance penetration of low-cost reproductive health products.

 

She is a medical doctor and pursued her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India where she graduated with a Gold medal in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dhairya is an ardent researcher and published a research article on HIV treatment modifications, for which she received a studentship from Indian Council of Medical Research. She has also published additional research articles in fields of cardiology post her MBBS and published chapters in cardiology journals. At medical school, Dhairya was the Secretary of Student Research Forum, where she was instrumental in organizing activities to educate medical students about research methodology and publishing. Post her internship, she was working in JROP Institute of Echocardiography and Ultrasonography as a Clinical Coordinator and as a Junior Resident at National Heart Institute, Delhi.

 

She interned with Ernst & Young, healthcare vertical where she was the only intern to receive an LoR from the partner. She pursued her MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad where she graduated Top 6%ile of her class. Dhairya participated and won in international and national case competitions. She won in case competitions organized by Haskayne School of Business, Calgary, Solve! Case Competition by Case Solvers, Hungary. She secured a podium finish at Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon and in case competition organized by Glaxo Smith Kline, India. She also won the eminent journalistic competition organized by WIPRO, India where the winning entry was based on plight of Biomedical waste workers.

 

Dhairya has participated extensively in co-curricular activities throughout. She has been an active member of the Consulting body of IIMA as well as participated in dramatics and debating competitions. She has developed an astute understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare management sector and is very dedicated to finding novel ways to solve public health issues. She firmly believes in democratizing health systems and processes.
